Chapter 4, Question 3

Questions — Posted by breakingfree @ 15:40
How can a person know if his or her life is glorifying God?

Comments

  1. Do we feel at one with God? Do we feel we have a personal relationship with God? Are we listening for God? Are we growing in God? Do we look to him in times of trouble? If so, our lives are giving him glory and we can count on the fact that as we continue to mature in him, the "glory" we produce will increase. Or by way of our split spiritual personality, do we live in a pit (I do, several of them - nice to know I can't afford even a little vacation home on earth, but in the spiritual realm I have several - big ones, all in the worst neighborhoods). Well, I need to move out and start giving more glory to God.
PS I wasn't planning on an evangelical revival here but it appears that is what we are uncovering.

  2. I think if you have to question whether an act with glorify God or not, there just might be a chance that it won't. Just as we know right from wrong without even having to think about it, I think our actions are the same. If I have to question it, there must be something that makes me think it might not. Does that make sense?

  3. I think that it is one of those things that you'll know it when you see it, and I think that we'll know it because we'll truly be happy and at peace.
