How does a Christian develop a life that glorifies God?

  1. Ooooh I loved this one. Didn't you guys find this part of Beth's book the most thrilling thing ever??? The word Glory is the most incredible word don't you think? It's impossible to really define or nail down. It means such a magnitude of things. As it applies to me in conjunction with God I guess it mostly means the wonderousness (is that a word?) of God seeping out of my pores and causing the rest of the world to be able to see God in it.

I thought the book about here was very profound as it helped me see once and for all (I hope) that we are NOT our own. We can not guide our lives. We simply cannot know what we need or how to solve our problems. God created us. We belong to him lock stock and barrel. We have no business doing anything outside of him. BUT this is not the "prison" it could be interpreted to be. It is in fact pure freedom to be what we were created to be. It is the ultimate "finding of ourselves". In doing that we develop a life that glorifies God.

  2. We need to be in touch with the Holy Spirit frequently. After all, the Holy Spirit is what guides us. And sometimes, we just need to do the Lord's work. Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for ME is what Jesus said. Whether that's good acts or bad. And you don't want to do bad things to Jesus. :) Sometimes I get so caught up in daily life, I feel like I'm not doing anything for Christ. But in reality, I know that's not true. But I feel I definitly should try to glorify God more than I have been.
