In what ways do you see Jesus having fulfilled the promises of Isaiah 61:1-4?

  1. By Jesus? death we have the promise of a new life, a new freedom ? things that have been destroyed will be new again.

  2. Patty hit the nail on the head. Christ came so that we could have more abundant life. Without him and his sacrifice we would be lost. There would be virtually no hope for our salvation (only Christ was perfect, no other - and without the pure sacrifice of the "lamb" ... I think that's what Isaiah was foretelling.) mcr

  3. The first time I heard Mary did you know, the song, and it came to the part where Mary kissed the face of God, I burst out crying (riding down the road), imagine kissing the face of God....with Jesus we got a glimpse..pure grace..no laws....KH
